I started diving about ten years ago and soon had a £120 point and shoot - it was rubbish. My first, and what I would call a decent camera, was a Motor Marine 11EX which I still remember fondly. That camera gave me the bug and I still think that, in some ways, it was better than some of the wondetech stuff that we have now.
I gradually worked my way up the camera ladder, reaching the pinnacle with a Nikon F90, only for the digital revolution to turn it into a relic overnight. I entered the digital age with a compact but did not like it - I think poor eyesight was a factor. Fate then took a hand - I accidentally smashed the F90 so bit the bullet and went full digital with a D70. I still have a long way to go before I master it but I think I will get there eventually.
